Gauteng Training such a success!
Yesterday the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy's Principals and teachers from around Gauteng met up for a day of training. It's so important for the Academy to keep everyone buzzing with enthusiasm and energy at every lesson, and there's no doubt that yesterday got all of us excited about our upcoming productions. We had such fun learning the new songs, dances, scenes and blocking for 2012s productions. I can't wait to get our students involved!!! A big thanks must go to our Executive Principal Vicky Stroud from Port Elizabeth for all her knowledge and support.

Helen O’Grady Drama Academy accessible to everyone!!!
2011 is proving to be a very exciting term for the Academy! Over 250 students have enrolled into our classes that are convenient and safe. The Academy runs over 12 classes in different studios throughout Jo’burg North West giving kids from all sorts of communities the opportunity to boost their confidence, acting skills and public speaking abilities. These weekly classes are conveniently situated in several recreation centres, libraries and Activities Rooms such as Norscot Recreation Centre, Blairgowrie Recreation Centre, Berario Recreation Centre, Roosevelt Park Receation Centre, Weltevreden Library, Olivedale Library, Fourways Gardens Estate and Cliffview Primary School to name a few.
We now have 3 Youth Groups aimed at Teens between the ages of 13 – 18 years. Kids aged 5-13 have a wide variety of studios to choose from as we have classes running Monday to Saturday ensuring that children have every opportunity at participating in our classes.
Each lesson is unique and the programme encompasses a huge body of developmental drama activities aimed at increasing the self-esteem and verbal skills of all students. Our enthusiastic teachers and dynamic learning environment motivates students to participate willingly and achieve their personal best, at all levels of development!
