Last night I was blessed yet again at being able to teach a bunch of adults of varying ages and backgrounds. What a wonderful opportunity for all of us to meet new individuals and through drama we learn to work with them :) One of my students is my husband and he's been taking our classes since 2010-I asked him if he's noticed a difference in any area of his life that he could definitely say was due to drama classes- he replied with an 'Absolutely!' For a teacher this is the ultimate goal: To make a difference. through drama.
I asked him to write his experience - he said "I was more excited to prepare the material for the MC duties and to make sure that I delivered it perfectly and through doing so, had so much fun doing it. It wasn’t a “chore” or a nerve wrecking experience.
I delivered it with actions, inflections, projection and even different accents, something I have never done before.
People asked if I was a professional/Hired MC and all I said was: “NO, I go to drama classes”
I was at that wedding and he was brilliant-even if I'm a little biased as he is my husband and my student :)
I'm just so thrilled that once again our brilliant curriculum delivered :)
