Trained Professionals

The number of Drama schools around South Africa is on the increase. It's wonderful to see that drama is becoming an important part of every Childs development and parents have a greater understanding of how this 'fun' activity is not just about acting and playing games.

Over the past weekend Principals of the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy from around South Africa met to learn new skills, discuss exciting curriculum material and receive more specialist training in the Helen O'Grady technique. We had a wonderful time sharing experiences and learning from one another's various dramatic backgrounds and training. We definitely have the 'edge' when it comes down to running drama classes :) this Academy is professional and jam-packed with information and skills about developing students so that they become better communicators in a very competitive world.
Not only do we have great curriculums and teachers but we have wonderful plays that really speak to students and help them gain a greater understanding and empathy for people of various backgrounds.
I'm so excited for 2013 productions-they are going to be super challenging and even more entertaining:) I know this as we had to workshop the productions and boy was it fun!
