Blairgowrie students shine with teacher Shayna!

Yesterday our wonderful new teacher Shayna had the opportunity to teach our Blairgowrie group and boy did they impress! In every lesson we aim to develop dramatic, communication and social skills. In every lesson the students kick off the lesson with challenging improvisation exercises that gets their bodies and voices warm. The next part of the lesson focuses on speech development and every student learns about projection, articulation and expression, this helps them learn the art of presentations and speeches! Below is the next part of the lesson which is movement and co-ordination. This term we're learning about effort movements and how we can label effort movements and the way they can have opposite effort movements. The main part of our lessons focuses on creating a short scripted and sometimes unscripted play. We finish off the lesson with pair work and our young actors get the chance to develop their confidence by getting up in front of their peers and performing. These lessons are jam-packed, developmental, fun and great for confidence and self-esteem as our teachers value their students and create a wonderfully safe environment to be creative in!
